   Most of the reviews I have read talk about mild biking on smooth surfaces. I’m a mountain biker and off-road Dirtbike rider that rides extremely rough terrain, jumps, rocks, drop offs, and big hits. The write up said that this mount was super secure and I was a bit worried at first. But after my first hardcore ride, I can attest to the durability, strength, and security of this Mount! Frankly, I was damn impressed. I mean, who wants to see their $800 phone flying off of your handlebars at high speeds into the dirt and rocks!?Pros:* Price. This is a high quality Mount that is built extremely strong with good material. I can’t believe they sell it so cheap!*The Mount is exceptionally stable and will Mount the almost any phone in almost any configuration and angle. Nice.*Because of how the phone clamps into the Mount, and the adjustability of the clamps and silicone straps, the entire touch screen and camera lenses on my phone are completely unhindered and all buttons are easily accessible. Because the bar clamp is adjustable and can rotate on the handlebar, I can use my phone camera to video the ride!*The bar clamp is super easy on and off. This is a great feature for me as I have two mountain bikes, a Dirtbike, and a super adventure motorcycle. One Mount is all I need for all of my machines.*The phone holder and elastic strap is large enough for my iPhone 11 plus the large Otter Box phone protector, no problem. The kit came with two extra silicone bands of different sizes for smaller sized phones.* unlike other systems, like the Quad Mount, I don’t have to use a special phone case that affixes to the Mount. With this holder you can use any phone case, or no case at all.* Installing and removing the phone from the Mount is super fast and easy.*The key to success with this Mount is the two side retaining braces, and the fixed brace along the bottom edge of the Mount. Those, with the combination of the silicone strap makes accidental release of the phone damn near impossible. Beware of other models/brands that do not have the strong backing plate, side braces, and fixed brace along the bottom!Cons:* The entire Mount with the phone attached is a bit bulky, but not too bad. It’s also not super lightweight (like the Quad Mount system) but that is because it uses machined aluminum parts for the bar clamp.* Because of the size of the clamp, and the adjustable phone/ball mount, it raises the phone off of the handlebars a fair amount (maybe a couple of inches). This didn’t prove to be too big of a problem, my knees never came close to touching the mount while pedaling. This could make the phone a bit more vulnerable to damage if I had a flip-over crash. But, is there any phone mount out there that would protect the phone from damage in a severe crash? Probably not.* On the super rough stuff, I noticed that the phone holder vibrates and flexes a bit making the phone screen hard to see/read. This could actually be a pro rather than a con as the vibration dampens the shock to the phone and keeps things from being ultra ridged. I found that in super rough and technical terrain the last place I’m looking is at my handlebars, anyway, so not really a big deal. The extra vibration would limit the effectiveness of videoing the ride in rough terrain, though.Five out of five, IMO, on this phone bar mount! Would I order this product again? I just did…for my wife’s mountain bike!

   After endless fiddling out of worry that the entire mount would fall off, the clamp to the bike itself remained pretty stable and I only had to tighten it once, very slightly. Depending upon where you affix the clamp, though, your phone won’t sit perfectly even. And the entire mount is heavier than I would have expected. For the rider really looking to shave weight off of the bike, this is not for you.The real issue is the phone staying stable on the ball mount once you get going. I had it super tight to keep the phone in a particular position but was constantly having to move and re tighten. The elastic corner straps do add a nice extra bit of security, but the holder itself just moves too much. Overall, it’s better than I would have expected for $20. It’s certainly not the best option out there, but for casual city/greenway riding, it’s fine.

   I am an avid road and sometimes trail rider with 3 different bikes. I went through one Garmin and one Wahoo bike computer over the years. I lost my $300 Wahoo this summer and decided to punish myself and get by with the iPhone 13 Pro Max that is always with me anyway. This mount seemed a much cheaper option. It turns out to be perfect for me as it clamps tightly to any of my bars without a special connector needed for each. It is firm – no way this comes off unless I crash. Easy to tighten and adjust with one hand so I check it every now and then just to be sure. Great visibility. I track all my rides on Strava but use the display mostly to monitor my heart rate. Now my iPhone is right in front of me if I need to change volume or skip ahead on something instead of digging for it in my jersey back pockets. I didn’t use all the features of my Wahoo Element anyway and it was yet another device to keep charged. My guess is, this product is as good as it gets for this type of result.

   Solid and sturdy. It was exactly as advertised. I like to use a mapping function on my bike when I’m meeting clients in the city and this is perfect for that. Also, it’s extremely easy to put on and take off — so people don’t steal it in the city.

   This is a bomber phone holder – easy to attach/detach, easy to place/release phone, extremely stable and secure, able to rotate, able to install in a variety of positions.
