Over all, the Razor is holding up. My 8 year old grandson is having a lot of fun with it. The frame is sturdy, and the platform is easy to mod. I’m planning upgrades for the battery pack, motor, and controller.The negatives: The motor shaft key is undersized, and shears off frequently. My grandson is skinny and underweight. A soft start may alleviate this issue. For $1000, I think it should have a speed controller with soft start and reverse.The rear shock is a bit stiff. However, the air tires can be softened up to smooth it out.

Original Review: We purchased this in the spring of 2021. Our 4 year old learned quickly and has loved it ever since. But exactly one year after our purchase (which was not by any means cheap) a piston has broken in half, rendering the motor dead and we have to buy a new one for $150. Not happy about that. At $600 it should certainly last more than a year and/or have some sort of multiple year warranty. Would not recommend because of this.Update: I decided as a Hail Mary to reach out to Razor directly. I got a response the next day and Razor is sending me a new motor as a customer courtesy. We’ll see if it works when it gets here (and how long it will be until that one dies as well) but I’m really impressed with the quick response and resolution and great customer service.

Husband put together really fast. My son was so happy for his 6th birthday! They say 14 and up but the older kids look goofy on it like it’s too small! Doesn’t go too fast, don’t like there’s no reverse, makes it difficult to maneuver in the garage.

The media could not be loaded. Over all it’s a great quad for beginners. My son got it for Christmas last year. We went on a camping trip this summer and took it. And he had a blast on it. After a fixed a couple things. The wheel broke off from unloading out of the truck and had to redneck engineer it to work cuz the wheel mounts are on back order and don’t know when they would be in. The shock mount need lock tight cuz the bolts came loose while he was riding it and it fell off. But really that’s what you get with any quad or dirt bike. You will need to fix things with anything. But all in all it’s a great beginner quad. He still loves it and rides it all the time.

Our girls love it! It doesn’t go too fast, but fast enough for fun. It is perfect for kids 6-10. It would be nice if it had reverse, but we still love it!!!

I bought this thing for about $500 several years ago. I can’t believe how much they cost now. It was definitely worth the money back then but I don’t know that I would buy it again today at this price point. Overall it has been great and I have not had any issues with it.
