I replaced all 6 quarts in my Mazda miata with the Mobil 1 synthetic atf and the transmission in the miata while it always shifted smoothly, shifted like it was brand new again. I then replaced the filter, solenoids, and all 12 quarts of atf in my GMC Sierras 4L60e with the mobil 1 synthetic. The 4L60e always shifted smoothly but it too seemed to shift even smoother with the new Mobil 1 synthetic. There came however with the mobil 1 atf a vibrating, shuddering feeling at times that I had never felt before. I drove the GM for about 100 miles with the Mobil 1 atf The vibrating shudder continued. I then ordered 12 quarts of this stuff. I pumped what I could out through the transmission dipstick hole , I was able to get about 5 quarts out from there and then I put 5 quarts of dexron back in. The other 7 quarts I got from the return line coming from the transmission cooler in the radiator, with the engine running the transmission quickly pumped the remaining 7 quarts of mobil 1 out. I replaced it all with this Dexron and it took about another 100 miles of driving but the shuddering vibration is completely gone and she’s shifting like brand new again. Long story short, just stick with the Dexron in the GM transmission, I now have 12 quarts of synthetic mobil 1 atf that my GM transmission didn’t want and now I don’t need.

Changed fluid in the transfer case of my 2017 Cadillac Escalade at 51k miles. Lots of metal shavings, fluid very dark. Replaced with GM OE Transmission Fluid. Saved a lot of money by not going to the dealership. Owners Manual states to change fluid at 97500 miles but I’m glad that I watched “That Short Guy” videos on YouTube, especially 50k service for Escalade 2015-2020.
