Let me start by saying that I’m not an avid hiker by any means, but if you need something for anything over 4-5 miles than you probably want something bigger.Now to the actual pack:Maybe I’m just dumb but I had a heck of a time figuring out how to open the valve. All of the reviews are older and talk about twisting and an orange cap? Mine doesn’t have that. I finally figured out that you have to pull by the little black disc looking part to open it. Had no issues with that or leaks after that.Because I was hiking in the heat, I put ice up to almost half and then filled the rest with water. It stayed cold for the several hours I was hiking in the Utah heat, except for where the tube was exposed to the sun but duh, that’s how that works.It’s small, so it can’t hold a lot but even after filling it up I was able to fit a small sandwich baggy with basic first aid supplies in the same compartment with the bladder, and some snacks in the outer velcro pocket. Super comfortable on my shoulders and back, overall definitely recommend for those like me who are tired of carrying around sloshy water bottles and stopping all of the time to pull them out.

The bag is decent and probably what you’d expect for the price. However, as several mentioned, one of the bag models seems to leak. You don’t know which bladder you will get, and this one leaks from the cap and has and issue blocking water from the nozzle. We ordered a second bag and it was fine but a slightly different model. The extended problem is that I reached out to the company expressing the urgency of a timely response since we had a hike planned. Never heard back from them. If you need a solution and do not have at least a couple weeks to pivot when a bad bladder is delivered, I’d suggest just going with a different product altogether.Update – sounds like they upgraded to a new bag and the one I received had a leaked issue. The company reached out a couple days later and mailed out a replacement bag. Happy with the company’s response to replace the bag though it was too late for my planned trip. Bag is otherwise 4/5 stars.

This was specifically for The We Were Young Festival and it meets the requirments for security. It was great for holding extra stuff and also fit perfect inside the clear bag so I didn’t have to try and wear two bags. I saw a lot of other people with same bag.

The pack does what it needs to with temperature controls and convenience all the reach away.My bite valve cap detached from the hose. After reaching out to support, they sent me and entirely new bite valve apparatus to replace it with no hassle and no charge.

I’ve been using my water buffalo all summer for daily walks in Texas. It’s comfortable and has enough extra room for a phone, snack, and sun glasses. The customer support from the company is legit. When after 4 months of heavy use the bite valve broke, it only took 2 emails to get the warranty honored and a replacement mailed. Thanks for keeping me hydrated and out of repair purgatory and a nearly perfect item out of a landfill!

This is a great backpack for running/jogging of course if you fill it all the way when you run it feels a bit weird but just don’t fill up the whole bag.
