I have switched over to the Valvoline multi-vehicle full synthetic ATF to simplify my maintenance fluids. I also use Mobil 1 ATF for a specific car since Valvoline has not said this is compatible but Valvoline covers about 90% of ATF fluid applications. I use it in place of Honda DW-1 and Motorcraft LV. Being a full synthetic, it will give better high temp protection. And the price is about half the other synthetics. Nice product.

I use this as a replacement for the Toyota WS fluid. Honestly, it seems strange to me how this one fluid can match the specs for so many different ATF fluid types, for so many different cars, foreign, domestic and European, and not cause a problem in some transmission somewhere. How can this be everything to everyone? What kind of magic serum is this?I would prefer to use a fluid that matches fewer fluid types, and Valvoline seems to do this with their ATF in the blue containers. But this in the red container is the only Valvoline fluid that is rated for Toyota WS, so this is what I use because I want name brand ATF fluid at a decent price. So, I have used this for three separate drain an fills, the first two were done when I bought the car (never changed before; lifetime fluid my a**) at 66K miles and the next 26K later. I have not had a problem with hard shifting or slippage, but the transmission did feel like it was shifting a tiny, tiny bit smoother immediately after both changes. (Did it really? I don’t know. The difference felt so imperceptible that the difference might just be in my head.)As for quality, I think it is OK. There is no dipstick in this car (augh!) so there’s no way to easilly get a fluid sample in-between changes. I figure that the fluid changes at 66K probably replaced about 75% of the fluid in the trans. At 92K the fluid that I drained out was dark, blackish with a red sheen. I’d say this fluid held up well. I would expect no problems if I continue to do a drain and fill with this fluid every 30K.

I use this in all my vehicles from GM to Toyota to Lexus. It has been in my vehicles for many years and no issues. The GM vehicle id a 3/4ton tow Suburban. Shift smoothly as butter, as as the others. Will buy again when it is time to change fluids.

After complete drain and filter change, 2014 Mazda 6 Grand Touring , 3rd Edition , 2.5L took 4 1/2 Quarts, leaving an extra quart and half as need during regular fluid level checks

The item comes packaged well and on time. I believe it actually even came a day earlier. Also, you can’t beat the price. It was the same as if you would have bought it at the parts store but $10 cheaper in some instances. Highly recommend and I will be buying again.
